Two Bangladesh nationals were killed and another was injured in a road crash in Wilkinson County area of the US state of Georgia on Monday.
Deceased Prachita Dutta Tumpa, 25, and Imtiaz Ikram Ali, 26, were PhD students at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
Another Bangladeshi Farzana Sultana Tushi was seriously injured in the accident. She has been undergoing treatment at a Georgia hospital.
Faizur Shakib Tanzim, a friend of the trio, said they were going to the residence of Farzana's sister in Florida.
The four friends, including Faizur, were students of aeronautical engineering at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) and they all left for the US to pursue PhDs last year.
